We are looking for a Senior Marine Underwriter based in London.

The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Head of Marine Liability, Ports and Terminals, you will take responsibility for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet the Marine Liability and Ports & Terminals targets in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority. You will negotiate pricing and terms and conditions, own accounts and clients, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with producers and clients.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Assist in the successful execution of the Marine business plan Underwrite new and renewal businessDemonstrate in depth technical expertise and lead capabilitiesNegotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with clients and brokersAnalyse the existing portfolio to ensure long-term profitability Establish and strengthen relationships with key stakeholdersContribute to the development of regional Underwriting strategy for MarineActively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including Distribution, Risk Consulting, Claims, Operations etc.Collaborate on ad hoc projects in a small and friendly teamWhat You'll Bring to the Role
Significant experience as a Marine Underwriter or Broker in the London market Established relationships with brokers at peer group level and established within marketGood understanding of the London market and competitor landscapeUnderstanding of the legal and regulatory frameworkExperience working in a complex, global matrix organizationStrong data and analytical skillsAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsGood presentation skillsFluent English language skillsAdditional Information:
