Summary

We're looking for a Senior Volunteering & Community Officer to join the team at Cliveden National Trust. If you have experience in volunteer management then we'd like to hear from you.

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager, you'll be part of a wider Visitor Experience Team working alongside the Duty Manager, Welcome Team, and the Programming and Partnerships Team. 
Volunteers are involved in every aspect of our work, with over 300 dedicated volunteers across the property. We are open 363 days a year and growing our visitor numbers, from local communities and independent adults to families. 
We want you to learn, discover and develop your career, working with you to plan your development in a way that is right for your needs. We will do everything we can to offer you training and support that you need to achieve your goals.

What you'll be doing

You'll be managing the development and delivery of this portfolio’s strategic plan for volunteering and communities alongside the property leadership team, and the rest of the Visitor Experience Team. Managing and embedding change whilst widening and deepening our relationships with existing and new audiences.

You'll also increase the confidence and capability of others whilst creating a collective, flexible and inclusive environment for existing & future volunteers, communities and partners.

Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you, if this sounds like you; 
  • understanding and good practice of volunteer management.
  • understanding of good practice in community engagement and involvement, as well as broader participation and partnership working.
  • practical and successful experience of developing and implementing new products and approaches to volunteers.
  • excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • ability to coach and support those managing, supervising and working alongside volunteers and community partners.
  • strong communication skills.
