Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working with our client who are a well-established family run business and who are now looking for an additional member of staff to join their small, hardworking team.
They are looking for a Service Advisor to join their team with the successful candidate ideally having some previous experience as a Service advisor or have a strong interest / knowledge in motor vehicles or the automotive industry.
With a large workshop, they predominantly offer Heavy goods vehicle servicing and maintenance although they do also offer light good vehicle service and M.O.T’s. The Service Advisor will be working in a very busy environment working with a team of engineers to implement processes that ensure continuity in customer-engineer communications.
The successful Service Advisor will: -
- Ideally have previous Service Advisor experience
- Excellent communication skills

Job duties:-
- Reporting to the Service Manager / Operations Manager, providing regular updates of the current schedule of work
- Regularly liaise throughout the day with the workshop engineers on all things in direct relation to the workshop and work in progress
- Ensure engineers paperwork is handed in on completion of jobs
- Assisting with the process of warranty claims for their franchises
- Consistent communication with customers throughout work in progress
- Scheduling planned work for your team of engineers
- Forward planning any jobs that roll over and booking in engineers next jobs when nearing completion of current job
- Dealing with email enquiries
- Incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Booking in work from emails / telephone enquiries
- Liaise with other departments to promote good communication across the company
- Complete relevant administrative tasks and any other tasks when required
- Enrol on additional ongoing developmental training in order to enhance knowledge and broaden skillset.
