Service Engineer
Position: Field Service Engineer
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week plus overtime
Salary: GBP36,562.12 plus annual bonus, company vehicle, and additional benefits.
Location: Remote-based, servicing sites west midlands and north of west midlands.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join the team, reporting to the UK Technical Services Manager. This is a remote role, operating primarily from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute on-site service tasks based on customer requirements.
- Offer feedback for product enhancements and process improvements.
- Visit customers to address specific issues or competitive situations as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with clear and professional interaction.
- Ensure equipment operates within expected tolerances through close collaboration with customers.
- Diagnose machine issues on-site and remotely, quickly identifying causes of failure.
- Apply electrical and electronic knowledge to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Desirable: HNC in electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
- Working knowledge of electronic and processing equipment for permeation and gas testing.
- Proficiency with instrumentation, electronics, tools, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and test record preparation and verification.
- Valid driver s license (maximum of 3 penalty points).
