The North Tyneside management team is an inclusive supportive set of values driven people who value creativity and knowledge.
Within this role you will be leading a team across 4 services with a focus on driving quality and achieving outcomes. You will line manage 2 Team Managers who will deliver day to day oversight in service and there is an expectation that the Service Manager will also spend some of their time in service to provide feedback and observe practice. This would suit someone who is able to manage their time effectively and motivate and enthuse staff teams to deliver the best support possible.
The people being supported have differing needs and abilities and therefore no two days will be the same and the ability to adapt is essential! This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop United Response’s reputation as an outstanding provider in the area.
You will maintain and enhance our high standards and build strong working relationships with our customers, regulators and other important stakeholders. This will include taking direct management responsibility for referrals, health and safety, compliance issues and financial control. You will also play an important strategic role in defining, developing and implementing our growth plans.
You will need to hold a minimum NVQ level 3 in Social Care Management or equivalent with proven experience within social care at a management level. With the ability to act as lead practitioner and develop the team’s skills via supervision and on the job coaching, you will have the aptitude to respond to the needs of a 24 hour service including on call arrangements therefore a flexible approach is essential.
