Croydon MentalHealth service provides accommodation and floating support toadults aged 18+ with low to medium-level Mental Health needs. Theservice operates with collaboration at its heart, working directlywith service users to promote independence and wellbeing with anultimate focus on recovery. All service users are in control oftheir recovery and staff support individuals at a pace thatsuits the user.

As aService Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in ourComplex Needs Service. Your contributions will directly influencethe lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path ofempowerment and independence.

A day will neverlook the same and some of the things you can expect to do/beresponsible for are:

  • To lead theday-to-day functioning of the Mental Health Services. Leadingstaff teams and ensuring that we provide a safe environmentand an empowering and co-produced approach tosupporting adults with severe and enduring Mental Healthneeds?.
  • Create and lead a high-performing teamto achieve individual and service outcomes?
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of and ensure that yourservice adheres to the relevant legislation and policyincluding GDPR, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Health andSafety, Care Act, housing related support, Mental Health servicesand Hestia policies and procedures.?
  • Ability to communicate skills needed to develop effectiverelationships with teams, individuals, theirservice users?
  • Create and maintainpositive and effective relationships within and beyondthe organisation?
  • Ensuring that theservice and all members of the team understand and havea strong focus on Hestia's safeguarding proceduresand legislations?
  • Ensure that all serviceand client information is appropriately recorded and shared inline with policy, legislation and good practice?
  • Deliver co-produced services that is outcome based andperson-centred?
  • Support others to challengediscrimination and exclusion in ways that are likelyto achieve change.?
  • Deliver servicesthat are safe, complying with all relevant Health and safetypolicies and legislation?
  • Ensure acommitment to personal development by continually improvinglearner's own knowledge and practice and that of the teamthrough, self-reflection, supervision andperformance management.?
  • Manage and showaccountability for service resources throughrecruitment, retention and induction; budgetary control;disciplinary and grievance processes, arrears and voidsmanagement and service performance data?
  • Use strategies and tools to build self-resilience,maintain wellbeing whilst deliverto workload requirements.?
  • To ensurethat the organisation's strategies are met andpolicies, procedures and values are adhered to in all mattersof service delivery?

We are looking for candidates who bring acombination of passion, expertise, and dedication to the table. Toexcel in this role, you should possess:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team based across variouspremises to achieve service outcomes?
  • Demonstrable experience of managing accommodationbased support services for clients who have complex andchallenging Mental Health issues.?
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating,implementing, recording, reviewing and auditing service users'support and safety assessment plans.?
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation andhow to implement policy in practice.?
  • Manage all elements of service performance related to thecontract requirements including analysis of KPIs, outcomes anduser experience measures?
  • Lead on thedevelopment and implementation the service's annualBusiness Plans.?
  • Ability to communicateconfidently and effectively to a wide rangeof audiences?
  • Numerate and literate withthe ability to interrogate budgets, data andproduce reports?
  • Able to confidently usea range of IT packages including MS Officeand databases?
  • Good understanding ofhousing management and the ability to manage arrears, voids,Health and safety and property standards?
  • Lead in planning, negotiating and managingthe budgets?
  • An understanding ofco-production and the ability to ensure that the serviceis delivered in partnership withservice users?
  • Experience of recruitment,induction, supervision, appraisal, training,disciplinary action and grievance issues?
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues andability to address them appropriately
