What we’re looking for:
- Do you have proven planning, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines as well as targets, work independently, exercise good initiative and sound judgment?
- Do you have experience of leading teams within specialist and/or Supported Housing for vulnerable people including people at risk of homelessness, Young People and people with mental health and complex needs OR experience of working with vulnerable people with complex needs?
- Can you lead and manage a team, ensuring effective teamwork and communications across the service?
- Are you able to set a positive and inclusive tone within the service and continue to nurture an environment where the team can thrive, by leading motivating and inspiring others to be proud of the critical support services they provide?
- Do you have experience of delivering the key requirements involved in a commissioned service contract and be able to effectively meet its targets as agreed with the Local Authority Commissioner?
- Can you communicate respectfully with and about people respecting the dignity and diversity of the people you are working with along with a proven history in providing an excellent customer experience?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Service Manager, Supported Housing (Young People Service) on a Permanent basis covering our services across the northern home counties.
Hybrid working is available in this role.
A bit about the role:

As the Service Manager of Young People Services (YPS), you will manage and lead the complex needs support team in the delivery of a high-quality Supported Housing service.
TheService Manager and their team will help support people to live good, fulfilling lives in the place they call home to help maintain their tenancy, being a good neighbour and thoughtful to others in communities where they live.
The Service Managerwill take responsibility for the operational delivery of the service and work with their team to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
The Service Manager will also work within agreed boundaries, following operational guidance, policies, and procedure.
Some of the key results for the role include:
- To deliver on the relevant aspects of our complex needs service strategic objectives and operational plan, ensuring high levels of team performance for the best outcomes for our customers and the communities they live in.
- To have clear core objectives and targets for team members clearly linked to the performance of the Supported Housing managements overarching strategy.
- To ensure contract KPI (Key Performance Indicators) are reported on in line with commissioner requirements along with any areas for improvement are actioned and monitored to completion.
- To ensure residents and customers are treated with respect, courtesy and engage in developing and improving the complex needs service.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check and a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
In addition to this you must be prepared to support the on-call rota.
Interviews will be held on the 26 and/or 27 February.
