A well established, well known supplier of Construction, Agricultural and Horticultural machinery and equipment.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural and Horticultural machinery that is sold by the company's sales departments based around the Essex area. In addition to this, you will also be required to cover when the Service Manager is absent by assisting with the day to day running of the workshop, diagnosing and delegating work as and when required.
This position is excellent for anyone who is looking to progress into a Service Manager position in the future.
Duties:
* Able to work within a team, but also adapt to lead the team when the Service Manager is absent
* Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural or Horticultural machinery and equipment
* Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using latest software
* Successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs.
* Lifting of heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
* Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the phone
* Able to work alone and on your own initiative
* Self-motivated
* Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
* Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
* Full driver's licence
