Job Title: SHE Manager

What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for managing SHE in operational & build areas, liaising with Senior leaders within the business to support safe build operations
- Supporting the development and deployment of the SHE management system ensuring the requirements of the operational framework and international SHE standards (such as IS045001 & ISO14001) are maintained
- Providing competent and comprehensive SHE assurance, coaching, advice and support to line leaders, enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area(s) of responsibility
- Managing and developing team(s) of SHE professionals, ensuring SHE resources are deployed to best effect and that talent is managed in line with SHE function standards and changing business needs
- Supporting the development/ implementation of the SHE Strategy and innovative change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in SHE risk management and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, such as departmental line manager and influencing them to integrate SHE into existing business processes to ensure SHE factors are appropriately considered during decision making, at strategic and operational level
- Engagement with a number of Stakeholders including the wider SHE Function, Directors, Regulators Customer and Trade Union
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- NEBOSH DiplomaManagement & leadership experience
- SHE role in Manufacturing or Engineering background
Desirable
- Environmental qualification
- Investigation and audit experience
- Member in relevant Chartered bodies e.g. CMIOSH

The Operational SHE team:
As a SHE Manager, you will be responsible for managing a SHE team within the Submarines business. The role will support effective SHE regulatory engagement for the business as well as supporting a range of complex programmes, requiring to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate SHE interventions in support of business aims. The role will give you an opportunity to be engaged into a wider area of the business, across different teams. You will also be presented with various training and development opportunities. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
