Shift Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Leader to join a Warehousing depot based in Doncaster.

Our clients are currently recruiting for experienced Shift Leaders to lead the teams of their new site based in Doncaster. These new positions will provide a unique opportunity to join an established European company who are slowly expanding their operations in the UK, with three operational sites so far.

The purpose of the role is to lead the shift team to achieve KPI’s, control Health & Safety and provide excellent service to our customers. The site is a 24/7 operation but for this role you will be working solely on the day shift

Salary:

• £15PH

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Team Supervision

• Daily team briefs to ensure all relevant information is shared.
• Ensure team are meeting site KPIs and standards.
• Identify training needs of staff.
• Allocate staff to different activities when required.
• Organising absence cover when required.

Depot Activities

• Oversee the machine operators to ensure safe and efficient running of automated machinery
• Ensuring the KPI volumes are met
• Complete shift reports using inhouse IT systems
• Ensuring the quality of trays meets SHEQ standards
• Supporting the machine operators with preventative maintenance

Health and Safety

• Responsible for the Health and Safety of staff on shift.
• Report and investigate all accidents and near misses.

Skills / Experience

• Leadership
• Proficient IT skills
• Health and Safety
• First Aider (desirable)
• FLT and PPT (desirable)
• Mechanical experience / working with automated machinery (desirable)
