Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), routine testing, calibration, record-keeping, with a high emphasis on Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement. The role involves working on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation, comprising of 2 days from 6 am to 6 pm, followed by 2 nights from 6 pm to 6 am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within a team to ensure effective maintenance and achieve maximum machine availability.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive work efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and update key engineering data to remain audit ready.
- Engage with and promote a strong Health and Safety culture within the team and across the site.
- Lead or participate in various projects aimed at improving business efficiency.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Electrical qualification required 16th edition upwards.
- Knowledge and experience of working on Siemens PLCs and drives.
- Ability to work on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation with days and nights.
- Experience in reactive maintenance and planned maintenance.
- Proficient in completing documentation and updating systems (e.g., Shires).
- Self-motivated and able to work alone on own initiative.
- Good decision-making skills and a team player.
- Sound mechanical knowledge with an electrical bias.
- Excellent organisational capability and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate, previous use of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) beneficial.
