Join Our Operations Team at The Compleat Food Group!

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Manager to come and join us!

Based in Nottingham, you will report into the Factory Manager, working to achieve the highest possible operating efficiency at minimum cost through effective management of the production area.

Working Hours:

Sunday - Tuesday 7am - 7pm and every third Wednesday 7am - 7pm.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Manage the team to ensure adherence to all HSE procedures.
• Make staff aware of any unsafe practices immediately.
• Ensure all pre-start safety checks are carried out and any defects are reported to engineering.
• Ensure all product specification sheets are adhered to, and all quality and technical documentation is completed in real time.
• Control usage of materials, by focussing on and driving process control and rejects. Monitor and feedback to team leaders and senior ops variance daily.
• Passing the department on to the next shift in a position for the incoming shift to deliver performance targets.
• Ensure Stock takes take place on time by suitably trained operative, and information is accurate and passed on to relevant departments.
• Effectively manage the labour resource to ensure schedule adherence.
• Provide direction, motivation and support through management and coaching of direct reports to meet departmental targets.
• Carry out performance reviews every six months on direct reports with monthly reviews on objectives.

Your Skills and Experience:

• You will have previous Factory/Production Management experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment
• Have HACCP certification/ knowledge of HACCP
• Must have gravitas and the ability to develop operational teams to help create a succession plan
• Great communication skills, lots of personality and confidence
• Ability to drive performance and have strong CI/ Lean Manufacturing experience
• Have strong commercial awareness
• Understand the needs of the retailers and their standards
