Who is RWE?

RWE Generation SE is responsible for power generation with gas, hard coal, hydrogen, hydropower and biomass. Our approximately 3,000 employees operate power plants in Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Turkey.

With our flexible, efficient power plant fleet, we are building the bridge for the path to the age of renewable energies. RWE Generation ranks 2nd in Europe with its gas fleet. An excellent starting position: Gas is becoming increasingly important as a bridge to the regenerative age

In the UK, RWE is one of the largest power producers and a leading renewable generator supplying around 15% of UK electricity with a diverse operational portfolio of onshore wind, offshore wind, hydro, biomass and gas, amounting to over 9.3GW.

Role location

Here at Staythorpe Power Station we have been generating electricity for over 50 years. We are proud of both our station and the people who work here; their health, safety and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) Power Station, which opened in 2011, is one of the most efficient, flexible and responsive plants of it’s type in the UK. RWE’s goal is to be carbon neutral by 2040.

Ambitious goals, passion and dedication outline the way that we work. We strive for a common goal, to provide a sustainable future. Now is the time to be part of that team and help shape the future of energy, be part of the energy mix and be part of the wider RWE family.

With both Lincoln and Nottingham within a few miles offering everything you could want from city living, whether it be shopping, entertainment, sport or leisure, and hundreds of glorious small villages and market towns in between, there’s a great out of work experience available too, whatever your preference.
