Balfour Beatty Vinci are recruiting for Site Engineers on the HS2 project based in Central Birmingham (Curzon Approach Viaduct) site working on the delivery of the Civils and Major Structural section of the project.
What you'll be doing:
- Identifying hazards and contributing to the development of Safe System of Works
- Reading and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification to carry out site duties including setting out on site
- Completing Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation
- Producing quantity surveys
- Producing weekly measures, take offs and schedule materials accurately
- Liaising with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work
Who we're looking for:
- Previous work experience as a Site Engineer
- A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience working on projects in earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is desirable but not essential
Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.
We are building the West Midlands section of HS2's Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. We will be employing thousands of people from the region to design and build the civil infrastructure for HS2 and we are looking for a wide range of skills to join the team and support this unique and ground breaking project.
