Great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of a new modular build student accommodation project in the centre of Southampton due to commence on site next month
About the role of Site Manager
You will take full responsibility for the construction of this £25m 150 bed new build from enabling works onwards including demolition, groundworks and piling, installation of all modules, completion of external envelope, fit out of communal areas and finishings through to handover.
As Site Manager you will be reporting to the Project Manager and visiting Contracts Director.
Responsibilities for Site Manager
- Management of all site based construction activities from initial site set up onwards.
- Ensuring that high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times.
- Logistics, input to design coordination, short-term programming of works.
- Ensuring Quality Assurance is achieved and documented at every step.
- Reporting on progress against programme, budget and quality throughout.
Requirements for Site Manager
- Construction Management, Engineering or Trades background
- SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card
- 5-10 years of experience in a Site Manager role with a main contractor
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
This role is with a busy regional developer/contractor who specialise in modular build student accommodation and hotel projects predominantly in and around the Hampshire area.
