SalarySmart Solutions is seeking a Site Manager for one of the UK’s leading specialist tunneling contractors working throughout the UK. You will join the team in planning, designing, and overseeing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, safety logs, and site documentation.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during construction, making informed decisions to keep the project on track.
- Communication: Regularly update project status to senior management and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Engineering background (advantageous).
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
