Site Manager

Position: Site Manager - Marine and Civil Engineering

Location: Nationwide (Initial 6 months at a project in Plymouth)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (Negotiable based on experience/ this can be higher)

My clients dynamic and fast-growing marine and land-based civil engineering company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Manager to join there team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the success of a £7 million project. While the initial assignment is in Plymouth for the first six months, the nature of our work entails nationwide projects after this.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring the successful execution of marine and civil engineering projects.
• Lead a team of 20+ individuals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Demonstrate expertise in project management, with a focus on achieving project milestones and delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards on site.
• Work closely with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and project coordination.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is mandatory.
• Proven experience in managing large teams in the marine and civil engineering sector.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful projects.
• Confident in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
• Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
