Job Description
As a Revenue Officer you will be responsible for administration of Council Tax accounts, processing changes and maintaining liabilities. You will answer telephone calls from customers enquiring about their accounts and you will negotiate payment arrangements with those who have Council Tax arrears. You will be expected to provide comprehensive advice to council residents and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in Council Tax Reduction and Council Tax administration would be advantageous, although not essential, as full training will be provided.
Requirements
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work accurately under complex legislative guidance and have previous experience of working to targets and timescales. You should have excellent customer service skills and be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office Suite.

As this post involves accessing the public services network, the preferred candidate will be subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS). The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
