Are you a meticulous administrator with an eye for detail?
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our small Quality and Assurance Team providing a service to NHS employees, registering, verifying, and handling smartcard access to the NHS Care Records Service and extra healthcare applications using the Care Identity Service. You will be responsible for undertaking all tasks related to the service.
The Registration Authority service delivers an end-to-end registration authority, including specific training for nominated registration authority staff and helps NHS Trusts to attain a high standard of Access Control Management, demonstrating standard methodology in both information governance and security.
Hybrid working role with every other Monday in the office, all other hours working remotely. First two weeks will be face to face onsite for full training.
Must be Southampton based. Role includes one or two weekly post drops to the Town Quay office at 15:00.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring good working relationships with clients, managers, and staff to support the flow of activity required, ensuring you meet agreed SLAs and important metrics.
- Being the point of contact for clients for creation and deactivation for smart cards and resolving any smart card related issues employees may have.
- Processing new smartcard requests, ensuring any information received follows NHS Employers Right to Work and NHS Identity Standards.
- Issuing locked smartcards to the accurate client location, maintaining information on status of cards.
- Creating replacement cards due to broken/lost smartcards or due to name/photo changes.
- Processing any leavers request to remove access, cancelling the card, and securely destructing returned smartcards where required.
- Using Excel to capture and maintain management information for ES reporting purposes.
- Providing support to RA Manager concerning investigations into breach of security issues.
