A great opportunity has arisen within a big-hitting global legal firm who are looking for a responsive, proactive and innovative Social Media Manager to lead and inspire a team, create and execute a global SOCIAL MEDIA strategy and manage and optimise content, community and paid campaigns across various platforms. The firm’s highly regarded business development, marketing and communications team is integral to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives, which includes supporting partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups, such as communications and events, and the professionals working in local offices, practice groups, sectors and clients. The firm has is keen for SOCIAL MEDIA to be used as an integral part of the marketing mix, with employees creating original content and interacting with their network to help build their contact group, develop their personal brand, generate leads and communicate the firm’s strengths. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Corporate Communications, the role holder will enjoy a global role supported by a Social Media Executive and a freelance specialist, as well as Channel Managers in all of the firm’s key markets. Leading, mentoring and inspiring a talented SOCIAL MEDIA team, you will foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and excellence both within the team and across the firm. You will be the go-to expert and advisor for all Channel Managers and stakeholders on SOCIAL MEDIA best practice and policy and must empower and enable partners, fee earners and colleagues to become active and effective on SOCIAL MEDIA, providing them with guidance and training. Keeping abreast of the latest SOCIAL MEDIA trends, platforms and features and leveraging them to enhance the firm’s SOCIAL MEDIA presence and reputation, the successful applicant will be responsible for creating and executing a global SOCIAL MEDIA strategy to drive engagement in the firm as a global elite law firm focusing on global trends and reputation drivers from AI to energy transition to responsible business and will work with the Social Media Executive to design and implement a global SOCIAL MEDIA content strategy that showcases the firm’s expertise, insights and impact and drives follower growth and engagement. Sourcing and curating compelling content from across the business that showcases the firm’s expertise, the Social Media Manager will be required to cultivate and manage online communities across the firm’s SOCIAL MEDIA platforms, fostering dialogue, trust and loyalty with followers, prospects, clients, influencers and other stakeholders and will manage the global content calendar for LinkedIn and X, oversee the firm’s YouTube channel and content and coordinate the WeChat and Xing platforms. Additional key duties of this varied and challenging role will include the management of all aspects of PPC performance, the roll-out of a new content scheduling tool and setting and tracking KPIs and metrics for campaigns and channel performance, using data and insights to inform decision making and improvement. With a passion for SOCIAL MEDIA and deep understanding of its role in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues and wider stakeholders, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in digital communications, media relations or a related field gained whilst working in a large, complex, global organisation to include demonstrable success in managing SOCIAL MEDIA as part of an integrated marketing approach within the B2B sector. Analytical and collaborative, the Social Media Manager will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with all levels and across cultures and a high attention to detail.
