Ability to build relationships with professionals, families and children in an empathetic and honest manner
Skilled at applying critical thinking, professional curiosity, analysis and evidence-based research to form an expert opinion and demonstrate your reasoning.
Excellent at recognising risks as well as balancing strengths and weakness to develop an appropriate conclusion, whilst maintaining a child focussed position.
Ability to work under pressure and meet court set deadlines, whilst maintaining excellent report writing skills.
Work effectively as part of a team, the ability to use supervision as a supportive mechanism.
Have an understanding of Court protocols, expectations and requirements. Ensuring an active and current understanding of the PLO.
What you will do:
Assume case responsibility from the point of issuing and preparing Initial Statements and Care plans.
Attend Family Network Meetings, oversee Viability Assessments and Connected Person Assessments.
Provide and attend CLA reviews, working closely with all relevant professionals, parents and family members.
Progress and review care planning for children and their families within the plo process and progress and oversee Final hearings.
Hold and be accountable for a manageable caseload that includes Court applications, CLA review and children subject to care & placement orders.
Be responsible for commencing and overseeing Life Story work, whilst working with adoption services to seek appropriate families for children subject to care & placement Orders.
