Fostering Social Worker - Young Refugee Team
Our fostering service are currently developing a supported lodgings service with a particular focus on supporting young refugees and targeted recruitment of family-based care for young refugees. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Social Worker to join our established fostering team to assess, supervise, support and motivate our supported lodgings hosts and foster carers to enable them to provide the very best of care for our children and young people.
We would particularly welcome applications from qualified experienced social work practitioners with interest in this area and/or with relevant experience to support the service in this exciting new development.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
