Responsibilities
· Review and enhance the existing codebase of our bespoke systems and other internal applications.
· Develop, test, and refine software, ensuring compatibility and stability across systems.
· Innovatively contribute to new features and bug fixes using our modern technology stack including Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Apache Wicket, and BIRT.
· Collaborate closely with project managers, analysts, and developers to align software solutions with business needs.
· Create detailed technical specifications and expand existing software to meet evolving demands.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
· At least 3 years of commercial Software Development experience with Java 7/8.
· Proficiency in Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA).
· Experience with Java MVC frameworks, particularly Wicket or Spring Web MVC.
· Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
· Strong analytical skills and a quick learning curve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Eclipse Birt, Jasper Reports or similar.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development.
- Knowledge of JavaScript SPA frameworks preferably Angular.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices such as Agile, CI/CD, Automation, Microservices, Infrastructure as a code and/or containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
