The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the learning and welfare of students with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both within the classroom and in one-to-one settings.
- Assist in the development and delivery of IEPs.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials and teaching methods to meet students’ needs.
- Encourage students’ social and emotional development.
- Manage any behavioral or learning difficulties with patience and understanding.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN is preferred.
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification, is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
