We are looking to appoint an efficient and well organised colleague with excellent interpersonal skills and a background in education as a Teaching Assistant (TA). An adaptable person who has experience of supporting students with complex needs.
Your role as TA will include:
Acting as a mentor and keyworker for vulnerable students.
- Liaising with colleagues and learning support mentors to assist in the progress of formal and informal qualifications.
- Preparing and adaptation targeted resources for use in a learning environment.
- Delivering one-to-one interventions for students with SEND needs.
- Delivering educational material set by a teacher.
As TA you will be well supported by a wide range of professional people in addition to teaching staff.
Experience of working with children and young adults with SEND needs would be advantageous along with a desire to promote formal learning and make it accessible for all.
As the Exceptions (Amendment) Order 1986 to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 applies to this position, the post holder will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau
