SalaryElevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a growing highly regulated manufacturer based in Sheffield, to recruit a Special Process Engineer - Heat Treatment to join the business.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, Special Process Engineer - Heat Treatment role will be responsible for leading multiple process improvement projects and providing expert knowledge in metallurgy / heat treatment across a variety of NPI projects.
Duties and responsibilities of the Special Process Engineer - Heat Treatment will include:
- Ensuring all heat treatment, brazing, super plastic forming and hot form processes onsite are operated in line with customer and third party requirements
- Support investigations into relevant quality failures to determine root cause and implement relative corrective actions
- Support HSE activities to sustain a safe working environment
- Implementing best practice for all Special Process procedures on site
- Helping to prevent non-conformances relating to the product, process and quality system
- Leading NADCAP audits (desirable however not essential - training and development will be provided)
- Provide technical specifications & justification to support the Capital investment process
We would be keen to speak with Special Process Engineers - Heat Treatment who possess the following skillset:
- Degree qualified / HNC Qualified in Materials / Metallurgy
- Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing business OR experience in a highly regulated environment
