1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Speech, Language, Communication Needs) Location: Southway
A Primary School in Southway, Plymouth is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a Year 1 child who has Speech, Language, and Communication Needs. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide one-to-one support and tailored interventions to the specified child.
-Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential.
-Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.
-Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the child.
Requirements:
-Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs.
-Strong understanding of the Early Years and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
-Proficiency in Read Write Inc phonics program preferred.
-Patience, empathy, and a practical approach to supporting children with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
