Full Time in the Birmingham Office, opportunity to go hybrid once established in role.
An exciting opportunity to join a prominent logistics and supply chain organisation as a Database Administrator. The client is a leading provider of import/export air, ocean, and road freight forwarding, supply chain management, and specialised services in retail, manufacturing, and chemicals.
Working as a Database Administrator, you will be a pivotal member of the Data and Technology Team. You will play a key role in shaping and enhancing data and IT strategy. The chance to contribute to success by designing, building, and refining data capabilities, working across security management, performance tuning, and backup and recovery.
Ideal Skillset of the Database Administrator:
- Extensive hands-on experience in Azure, SQL Server, database performance tuning, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge around database performance, tuning strategies and goals.
- Proficiency in MS-SQL and T-SQL, coupled with a solid understanding of Windows OS.
- Exposure to SSIS, SQL Reporting Services, replication, and configuration management.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies effectively.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with supply chain and freight concepts.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and application security.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
