I've partnered with a global FMCG brand to recruit a Supplier Relationship & Sourcing Lead to join their newly created team. This company is a result of a joint venture of two well established brands, one with a proven track record and experience in the global FMCG industry and one with the commitment to delivering leading products to customers!
As the SRM & Sourcing Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the procurement function while maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers.
The SRM & Procurement Lead will be responsible for:
- Constructing and nuturing relationships with select globally based suppliers and act as primary SRM owner for those suppliers.
- Leverage data and advanced analytics to identify supplier opportunities and risks.
- Managing or escalating supplier impactful decisions, making quick decisions during times of ambiguity using best practice and expertise.
- The execution of negotiation strategies for the sourcing of generic products for select suppliers.
- Accountable for the resolution of supplier operational issues and communicate impact to member organisations. Understand and articulate critical concerns and sensitivities of supplier base to sourcing leadership team.
- Supporting with Strategic Initiatives team on key product strategies
- Responsible to educate team on industry, market, generic dynamics whilst developing your team to a high standard
The SRM & Procurement Lead will have:
- Track record of SRM and sourcing within the FMCG, food or pharma industries
- Management expertise leading high achieving teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Analytical problem solver with the ability to synthesise large data sets into actionable intelligence.
