Essential
- Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder communication and engagement plans.
- Experience of working in an externally focused delivery-based environment.
- Confident and experienced in building relationships with multiple external stakeholders.
- Communications background with strong interpersonal and networking skills, and a team player.
- Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, prepare responses quickly and clearly and use personal initiative.
- Ability to thrive on and deal with change, uncertainty and changing requirements at short notice.
- Experience of working in a matrix environment with multiple departments and within cross-disciplinary teams.
- Broad communications experience across channels and the marketing mix.
- Fluency in MS Office suite.
The role holder will support a particular stakeholder sector (Public Affairs, Business, Industry or Communities) and will have experience with one or more of the stakeholders in a sector referred to in Table below above.

Who are we?
Simply put, our job is to secure a safer future for us all. We do this by managing and disposing of the UK's nuclear radioactive waste safely and securely for generations to come. We have a critical role in the biggest multi-decade clean-up project in Europe. As part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) group, we provide permanent answers for nuclear waste.
Nuclear Waste Services builds on the work delivered at the Low-Level Waste Repository (LLWR) site and the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) programme, maintaining these key activities whilst also adding further essential services for customers in the nuclear energy, defence, industrial, medical, and research sectors. Maintaining and developing this knowledge and experience is key to securing and developing our unique nuclear waste capabilities for the UK and the rest of the world

Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is a joint trading name of LLW Repository Limited and Radioactive Waste Management Limited.
This role will be employed by LLW Repository Limited unless the successful candidate is currently on Radioactive Waste Management Limited terms and conditions. In this situation the employee will continue on their current terms and conditions.
