The Role
The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of STEM-related projects within the CAA. This role involves a combination of administrative, planning, and technical responsibilities focused on coordinating various aspects of our STEM initiatives which are fully funded by the Department for Transport.
Core Accountabilities
- Project Planning: Develop project plans, including timelines, goals, objectives, and resource allocation, in alignment with STEM-related objectives.
- Coordination: Coordinate activities among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of project milestones.
- Financial: Provide input and support to STEM project budgets, support procurement processes and reconcile invoices.
- Implementation: Support the delivery of STEM initiatives, ensuring they align with the aims and objectives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring systems to track project progress, evaluate outcomes, and prepare reports on delivery and partner performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders, developing relationships and requesting support as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide recommended mitigations to address challenges.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to STEM activities in line with the Department for Transport requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following experience.
- Experience working in this or a similar field, project management, or a related discipline.
- Project management skills with experience in planning, organising, and delivering small projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to compile and analyse data.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to support multiple systems and tasks.

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
