Salary: £23,218 up to £28,500 dependent upon experience

Contract Type: Fixed-term 12-18 months – Full-time

Security Level: BPSS

The Role

 

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of STEM-related projects within the CAA. This role involves a combination of administrative, planning, and technical responsibilities focused on coordinating various aspects of our STEM initiatives which are fully funded by the Department for Transport.

 

Core Accountabilities

 

  • Project Planning: Develop project plans, including timelines, goals, objectives, and resource allocation, in alignment with STEM-related objectives.
  • Coordination: Coordinate activities among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of project milestones.
  • Financial: Provide input and support to STEM project budgets, support procurement processes and reconcile invoices.
  • Implementation: Support the delivery of STEM initiatives, ensuring they align with the aims and objectives.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring systems to track project progress, evaluate outcomes, and prepare reports on delivery and partner performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders, developing relationships and requesting support as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide recommended mitigations to address challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to STEM activities in line with the Department for Transport requirements.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience.

 

  • Experience working in this or a similar field, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Project management skills with experience in planning, organising, and delivering small projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to compile and analyse data.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to support multiple systems and tasks.

Additional Information

 

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

 

To be vetted you must have the right to work in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken.
