Stock Controller
Based – Penygroes Gwynedd
Salary – up to £29k pa
Our client is a successful and award-winning, leading manufacturer of all-natural, high-quality pet foods and due to continued company growth they are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join their existing Team and the ability to communicate through the Welsh Language would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage stock control processes, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient stock management.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and take appropriate corrective measures.
- Monitor stock movement, including goods received, issued, and returned, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with production team to forecast stock requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure adherence to established standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including proper documentation and reporting of non-conforming products.
- Monitor and analyse key quality indicators, making recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other necessary supplies.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage relationships to optimize purchasing processes.
- Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow and timely delivery of goods.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in stock & quality control within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Excellent knowledge of stock management systems, quality control procedures, and purchasing principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, assess data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal teams & suppliers.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
