JE100 - Stores Person/ Warehouse Operative 
Location: Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire
Salary: £12.03 per hour 
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stores Person/ Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carrying out regular stock checks in line with the departments plans
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Using the MRP system to ensure all transactions for the control of goods is up to date and accurate
• Making sure all stock is stored and labelled correctly
• Responsible for ensuring that all processes are followed and relevant quality checks are completed
• Liaise with couriers to ensure that all incoming shipments have all the required paperwork
• You will also be responsible for loading and unloading logistics vehicles with a fork lift truck
• You will demonstrate a flexible approach to your role at all times
• You will be responsible for planning the daily workload ensuring resource is matched to the daily despatch plan
• You will be prepared to carry out other duties that are deemed reasonable
• Operate in a safe manner complying with all health and safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
• Upkeep of pallet storage

Skills and Qualifications:

• Good organisational skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Flexible and willing take on a variety of tasks
• Forklift Truck Licence / experience
• Good IT Skills (Outlook,Excel,Word) essential
• Experience in using MRP/ERP Databases (preferred)
• Previous Stores / Warehouse experience (preferred)
• Some experience of lean tools and techniques (preferred)
• Experience in handling and identifying different types of metallurgical materials (preferred)
