JOB TITLE - Collaboration Engineering Lead (E) SALARY - £69,000- £85,250
LOCATION - Edinburgh or Leeds
HOURS - Full Time
WORKING PATTERN : Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

You'll challenge the existing processes and ways of working, with a view to eliminating waste; seeking to boost the colleague user experience
You’ll support the detailed technical assessment and business understanding of changes being deployed within C ollaboration Lab , ensuring that decisions accurately balance business needs with technical requirements, supplier performance and risk considerations.
Championing the alignment of processes to automation and evergreen principles being introduced as we bring to bear more cloud-based services working with the wider team to embrace the opportunities presented by the new technology of the modern workspace and continually improve the service.
What will this role entail?
  • Leading the implementing and maintaining solutions on SharePoint On Premise (2016+), SharePoint Online, Viva Suite and M365 Copilot.
  • Ensuring AvePoint governance and backup/recovery toolsets perform to the customer needs
  • Taking business requirements and looking for Collaborative solutions to meet the requirements, creating designs, leading through governance and implementing, ensuring support is in place.
  • Providing leadership and support for colleagues across the business on our services.

Skills we are looking for ?
Alongside technical expertise , you’ll care about colleagues, be capable of supporting positive relationships across Platforms and ready to take ownership of problems through to solution. This is critically important as we embed an “Evergreen” model where a continual stream of transformation cycles will be the norm. This could be evident in your experience through working with Service and Change partners in taking hold of issues as well as being open to new ways of working.
You’ll have knowledge of software lifecycles, software maintenance and understand its importance with expertise in Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Viva and Copilot , Collaboration based technologies and Software as a Service implementations.
We expect....
  • A excellent understanding how SharePoint works from an infrastructure point of view
  • A good level of understanding of M365 and Azure AD
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint governance toolsets, such as AvePoint
  • Technical leadership in working in a team environment, demonstrating an ability to self-manage pieces of work
  • Strong communication skills are a major benefit, needing to communicate complex technical issues and solutions, to a variety of stakeholders with differing technical knowledge
  • A working level of understanding of scripting in PowerShell
  • An understanding of Agile (using Jira) and systems thinking
  • A rounded understanding of IT Technology particularly in the Microsoft world
  • You will also be required to participate in a 24x7 support rota for the supported platforms, and perform out of hours changes but outside of this we could consider working patterns that work for everyone.
  • W e would love you to have a problem solving and open mentality, ready to apply previous experience to new solutions. The current IT landscape is a fast-evolving place, so adapting to that change is key!
