JOB PURPOSE:
The Stores Person is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks accurately and promptly to ensure efficient handling of goods in and out of the Stores department.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Booking in and locating new parts and AGS (Aircraft Ground Support).
- Picking parts from stores based on picking lists and delivering them to the shop floor promptly.
- Adjusting stock levels and part numbers as necessary.
- Collaborating with the purchasing department on stock corrections and order rejections.
- Conducting perpetual inventory stock takes monthly.
- Investigating and resolving issues promptly.
- Generating Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for booking in repairs and stock.
- Packing items for shipment.
- Coordinating with couriers for shipping.
- Knowledgeable about import-export control, specifically Inward Processing Relief (IPR).
- Holding a forklift license.
- Arranging delivery and shipping of third-party repair work.
- Performing any other duties as directed by the Company.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Experience within an aerospace environment is desired but not mandatory.
- Preferably holds a forklift license.
- Proficient in using PCs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with import and export control regulations.
- Competent in packing dangerous goods.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
