Hackney Council is looking for a Strategic Performance Manager to work with the Senior Leadership team across the Council, the Mayor and Councillors to challenge, identify and resolve issues, and champion a strategic approach that embeds and drives a high performance and a value for money culture.
You will also be required to act as a senior adviser to the Chief Executive, Group Directors, the Mayor, Cabinet Members and the Council’s Audit Committee around the Council’s performance and improvement.
Within this role, you will matrix manage Performance Managers across the Council with regards to the Council's performance framework and policy and be the lead for the strategic analysis and performance reporting.
Current knowledge of the Office for Local Government and updated Best Value guidance are expected.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, with a high level of professional credibility. You will need to develop and manage relationships with a wide range of colleagues including the Chief Executive, Group Directors, Heads of Service, the Mayor and Councillors. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Head of Data & Insight leading the re-design and implementation of performance measures, processes, frameworks and assurance alongside leading analysis and expert guidance.
