Overview

PepsiCo is looking for Strategy Network Modeller to join in one of our European hubs (Vitoria, Spain; Krakow or Warsaw, Poland; Istanbul, Turkey; Bucharest, Romania). 

Job Purpose

The Strategic Network Design Modeler plays a crucial part in enhancing Europe supply chain efficiency by build & deployment E2E modelling solutions to support the Sector and Regional productivity agenda.

This role designs and develops network models that assess manufacturing, transportation, distribution and inventory strategies to enhance overall efficiency. Leverage advanced modelling through Llamasoft or other tools to achieve these goal. Role requires ability to gather, analyse, and interpret supply chain data to provide actionable insights and to communicate finding and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities
  • Build & Development of E2E modelling solutions that supports the Sector and Regional productivity agenda:
  • Use substantial knowledge of supply chain practices and/or simulate scenarios using Supply Chain Guru to identify E2E opportunities (sourcing, transportation, warehouse, inventory..).
  • Implement Network optimization standards and best practices (data + modelling), process and toolkits.
  • Operate as modeler project lead on Supply Chain Guru and Data Guru
    • Define, align and document project objectives, requirements, and modelling approach
    • Build Network models and develop to-be/what-if scenario to provide insights to help resolve the problem statement and drive the decision making process
    • Maintain and refresh models on periodic basis in line with the PepsiCo planning cycles to support ACP, PSP decision making processes.
  • Develop presentations, data visualizations, calculating the financial impact of various scenarios and presenting recommendations to stakeholders / internal customers
  • Work with Sr. Managers and rest of modelling and data team on developing innovative solutions, leveraging internal tools, knowledge, and external insights to develop agile methodology for network model build and updates.
  • Interact with BU/Project SMEs, listening customer voice, taking into account all data components, links, flows, products and relevant cost elements.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of key principles of supply chain optimization such as planning, transportation, inventory, and strategic sourcing
  • Advanced degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Operations Research or similar
  • Proficient in Llamasoft end-to-end supply chain modelling including manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and inventory aspects
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word)
  • Demonstrated examples of creatively utilizing analytical/mathematical skills with results
  • Time & project management structured planning
  • Good communicator, proficiency in English
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
  • Conceptual thinker: Ability to translate business logic into modelling concepts and vice versa
  • Relations: Building and maintaining trusting relationships across organizational boundaries by modeling integrity, transparency, and authenticity, and being respectful and inclusive of others.
  • Demonstrated success with clear and concise and appropriate communication in a variety of situations including explanation of assumptions and results.
