Main ResponsibilitiesThis role is strategic and extremely important part of our directorate as we aim to drive a significant step change as we move from an asset and technology platform based operation to a service platform organisation. You will lead the Telecom Service Strategy, engaging with the business leaders, including at an Executive level, managing ongoing service performance and service transition and installation activities across all Telecom’s infrastructure, including defining, leading and managing the performance and relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Working with C- suite level, and executive leaders, you will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of the telecoms industry demonstrating understanding of current and new technologies, process and methods for user adoption and overall service excellence.
You will need to not only have extensive experience in Telecoms Service Strategy but have demonstrable leadership and organisational skills, with experience of managing multidisciplined teams over a large geographic area.
You will be pioneering, curious and tenacious – earning respect and trust across the business by enabling the effective and reliable delivery of services in a large complex organisation meeting the needs of the business today and in the future using Digital, Data and tech.

The Ideal CandidateMeet the essential criteria/ Apply today to join our team!
- Proven track record in managing Service Strategy, enabling the delivery of effective and reliable services in large and complex organisations.
- Detailed understanding and experience of Telecoms architecture and IP Technologies
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing large budgets, as well as displaying commercial acumen and building successful commercial relationships with suppliers.
- Service Strategy leadership experience
- Professional qualification(s) such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or v4 Manager/Expert qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of working in organisations that have implemented Service Management frameworks for example ITIL.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience of managing multidisciplined teams over a large geographic area.
- Strong knowledge of IT technology and service management trends and the resulting implications for the wider business environment, with experience of applying this in a complex organisation.
- Understands, explains and able to present complex concepts in a simple and meaningful manner.
- Knowledge of key performance measures and practical experience of using these to drive performance improvement.
- Commercially and politically aware.
- Energetic and passionate about developing and operating processes that achieve outstanding results.
- Ability to effectively manage change and the implementation of new ideas to delivery.
Desirable
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business Management, Computer Science) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- ITIL Service Management accredited – Manager.
