The Finance Manager for EU Network Strategy will be the main controller for all Capex investments across the business and will partner with Network planning teams to ensure that we have a network design that maximizes Free cash Flow for the business. In addition to this, this leader will play a key role in defining EU AMXL's cost to serve strategy for the year's to come
Key job responsibilities
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Finance seeks a Finance Manager to lead Finance controllership for Network design and end to end strategy. You will own key financial reporting and alignment, develop key processes around the organization's goals, and to perform financial analyses of major business events. You will become a valued business partner by focusing on core finance functions, identifying and publishing key metrics and work on special projects to achieve optimal performance.
A day in the life
This role will partner will multiple stakeholders within both finance and the business leadership to provide insight, analysis and financial leadership as we rapidly expand and evolve the AMXL business. This role will provide extensive cross-functional opportunities to partner with teams including Global Delivery Services (GDS), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Global Consumer Fulfillment (GCF), and Amazon Logistics (AMZL), AMXL Network planning. This role will create and sustain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
