Join a Leading Design Studio as Studio and Facilities Manager in this maternity cover contract role!
Are you an organised, adaptable individual with a knack for overseeing daily operations? Are you available on short notice and ready to hit the ground running in fast paced environment?
A well-known Design Studio, with a global presence, is looking for a skilled Studio Manager to take charge of a vibrant studio. As Studio Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the studio space, work closely with a Receptionist to ensure the team and clients are catered for and manage day to day operations. In return, you will be part of a well-established and highly respected Design Studio, amongst a creative and world class team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee facilities and building management, including supervising the front-of-house team, catering staff and managing the facilities budget.
- Manage maintenance and improvements, including negotiations with suppliers and project management.
- Lead health and safety processes, risk assessments, and fire safety measures.
- Project manage internal and external events, from companywide drinks to summer parties.
- Provide studio tours for onboarding and visitors.
- Assist with travel arrangements for Partners and their teams.
- Arrange couriers, cabs, and collections.
- Manage ad hoc operations projects as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 4 years experience in a similar Studio / Operations / Facilities Management role
- Experience working in a creative studio or similar agency environment (design, architecture, interior design, creative agency)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building lasting relationships with stakeholders.
- Confident and approachable with strong written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
- Understanding of health and safety, first aid, and fire safety.
- Preferred management and budget holder experience.
- Resilient approach
- Interest in the design industry is desirable.
