Supplier Relationship Manager IT – Banking | Hybrid working to Milton Keynes office.
£75,000 - £80,000 + performance related bonus, 30 days holiday + bank holidays and a strong pension plan with pension match up to 12.5%.
We are delighted to represent one of the UK’s leading banks in identifying an experienced supplier and contract manager. Reporting to the Head of category, you will shape the way in which they collaborate with vendors within IT. Working with the Head of IT Procurement you will be engaging senior stakeholders to influence meaningful change in the business. In a greenfield environment you will be given the chance to truly shape their supplier collaboration strategy, working with some of the UK’s leading firms. The Procurement team is undergoing an exciting procurement transformation with this position seen as a critical role in that journey.
What the role involves
- Accountable for executing a supplier management model which supports the transformation to an industry leading Procurement function.
- Acts as an individual contributor, using specialist supplier management knowledge and a sound understanding of how the function serves business stakeholders to maintain commercially viable services for the business.
- Responsible for delivering the centralised Supplier Governance & Innovation strategy on a day-to-day basis for a small portfolio of Strategic/Alliance suppliers - along with the day-to-day delivery and ongoing management of the model from the following perspectives: Commercial, Risk, Vendor Performance.
- Delivery of supplier collaboration and innovation which deliver value beyond savings, supplier interventions and oversight on a company-wide basis
- Conduct periodic end-to-end review of supply chain to understand improvement opportunities (incl. supplier analyses), and champion strategies to drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and improved service levels and quality, as well as minimizing risk.
The person we hope to find
- Experience Managing Tier 1 Suppliers across IT Subcategories; Software, Outsourcing/IT Services, Networks/Telecoms
- Knowledge of IT Contract best practice
- Knowledge of Software Asset Management (Software role)
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Proven track record of supporting delivery of change programmes within large organisations.
- Knowledge of supporting delivery of intellectual models to a defined portfolio of suppliers in large financial institutions in order to deliver the agreed strategy
- Proven track record of understanding IAMRisk principles at a senior level in an Operational environment; experience of meeting internal policy and external regulation.
- Track record of liaising with and influencing different stakeholders to come to a consensus
- Experience in a regulated FS environment would be helpful for this role.
