Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Who you will be supporting?
  • We are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with our ages ranging between 50s to late 60s.
  • We all have different interests but also enjoy spent time together.
  • We all have mobility needs but that does not stop us from having a good time.
What is important to us?
  • We enjoy going out including trips to the cinema, local pubs and restaurants, the garden centre and walks in the park
  • We enjoy holidays, short breaks, and day trips.
  • We all love music and all of our tastes are very different.
  • Us ladies in the service really enjoy retail therapy and manicures.
Other information?
  • The staff team that support use are trained in Moving and positioning, medication, PEG’s, Huntington’s Disease and MAPA. This helps us to live our best lives possible.
  • Our home is a detached bungalow with four residents.
  • We do have a minibus so a driving licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Parkside is in Westmoor, North Shields
  • There are usually 3 people on shift at one time. This is so people can have their one to one time.
  • Shifts vary from early (8am to 3pm), late (3pm to 9pm), long days (8am to 9pm), Sleeps (10pm to 8am) and night shift (9pm to 8am). All shifts work around the individuals at Parkside
