Position - Support Worker - Children and Young People

Salary -£29,500 p.a.
Hours - 37.5 per week worked on a 3-week rolling rota working 24-hour shifts

About the role - You will be based in the children's home, giving guidance and support to the Young People to prepare them for independent living. The vulnerable children in your care will have complex needs and you will help them develop a sense of self, gain your trust and move confidently into adulthood. Duties include working flexibly with the Young People as circumstance can at times be unpredictable. You will follow the care plan and monitor how well your young person copes with managing everyday living, their self-care /health needs and friendships/relationships with people. You will accompany them to care planning meetings, out in the community, with their finances, housekeeping, accessing education/work and keep records on their progress.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience required - We are looking for individuals who have worked with the same client group and have an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care
