Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with varying needs and abilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including some personal hygiene and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and minimize challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with case managers and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and activities
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Assist with transportation and accompany individuals to appointments or community outings
Requirements:
- Experience in behavior management and working with individuals with diverse needs
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration
- Ability to lift heavy objects and provide physical assistance as needed
- Care certificate or NVQ or equivalent preferred
