Rate Of Pay: £11.44 Per Hour
Shift Patterns: Immediate start, 40hrs a Week, Permanent Contract. 8am - 8pm shifts, alternative weekends.
Information about the Role:
Working as an Support Worker at Apna House your duties will include the following:
- Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
- · Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health, and safety of service users always.
- · Provide support and supervision through the night to adult’s health care needs as per their support plans and risk assessments
- · To attend to the personal needs of the residents who require this support and carry out checks on the service users as per their support plans and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policy, procedure, and regulations.
- To complete housekeeping tasks in accordance with the waking night agenda

Apna house is part of a group of homes that benefit from the support of a comprehensive multi disciplinary team. This arrangement provides support and supervision in the delivery of care allowing for a clinical perspective to be considered when challenges or complications in care delivery are encountered.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Waking Night Support Worker:
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred.
- Caring, kind and considerate.
- Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
- Good communication skills.
- Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
- Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
