Buddies Clubs and Services is a well established, professional organisation situated in the West of Glasgow providing clubs and activities for children/young people with additional support needs/disabilities who live throughout all of Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. We aim to develop each child/young person’s self esteem and empower each child/young person to explore/develop new skills. Finally and just as importantly we look for each child/young person to participate and enjoy all activities develop and sustain positive relationships and friendships.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidates to work on a contracted basis in our holiday club services. Successful candidates will be required to work the following dates on a contracted basis.
Monday 1st July-Friday 26th July inclusive, with the exception of Glasgow Fair Monday.
There will also be a requirement to work a few shadow sessions in order to be trained in the role.
There are positions available for dedicated and reliable individuals. We are looking for interested individuals looking for work within our organisation. Hours may All candidates would be required, if successful, to work with both vulnerable children and adults throughout all of our various services and personal care is part of the job role. There will be an option to work other hours throughout the rest of the year should a candidate be interested in doing so. This will be discussed on an individual basis.

Ideally you will also have an appropriate Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) required qualification, as determined by your SSSC registration or willingness to work towards this. The postholder could potentially be offered the chance to carry out the qualification fully funded.
Continuous Professional Development and full training is offered. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member and be able to provide two satisfactory references prior to starting this post. The postholder will be required to register with the SSSC upon commencing work, if not already registered. All postholders are eligible to apply to the Blue Light Card Scheme which offers discounts on various amenities - restaurants, holidays, shopping, fashion, insurance etc. Company pension scheme is available. 28 days holiday pro-rata exclusive of public holidays.
