SUPPORT ACTIVITY WORKERS REQUIRED
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a new team supporting a 23-year-old young lady with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay with physical impairment, in the Rochdale, Greater Manchester area. She is a happy and sociable young lady, who has interests typical for her age, being outdoors and being surrounded by her family and interacting with other people.

We are looking for individuals who are outgoing, personable, active, driven and dedicated. The role is not limited to assisting the client with her personal care or daily routine. But to enable her to be out in the community having fun.
This young lady enjoys comedy, watching films and loves interacting with people and socializing and taking part in various activities including arts and crafts. You will support her with her physiotherapy program to support her to achieve her goals, and be able to support her away from home, in the UK and abroad. You will support this lady in hydrotherapy and in the pool on holiday so you will need to have basic swimming skills and be water confident.
The role will involve you working with her family, case manager, therapists and other SUPPORT WORKERS. This position therefore requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer.
This role will suit someone who is fun, active, patient and has a positive attitude towards inclusion. You will need to be physically able to carry out all activities and her therapy program.
Experience preferred but a willingness to learn new tasks and skills is as important.
To be able to drive is essential.
Excellent communication skills and clear speaking English.
Hourly Rate: Day rates: £16.00 per hour, Monday – Sunday
Night Rates: 11 hours x £11.44 = £125.84
Hours: 40 hours per week shifts, that vary from before and after day care, weekends and sleeping in shifts.
A comprehensive training package, including provision of mandatory training, role specific training is offered.
