Description
The Systems Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance. Duties of the Systems Accountant include:
- Being responsible for leading and coordinating finance systems to support the work of colleagues within the Finance team and beyond.
- Act as the point of contact for all enquiries and requests for improvements and changes
- Act as the lead Finance team interface with IT colleagues for all significant financial systems issues
- Ensure that all essential system administration tasks are performed to standard
- Support the Capital Finance team to set up scheme codes, build development scheme reports, implement enhancements to streamline intercompany recharges
- Project manage the implementation of approved new financial software and changes/ upgrades to existing software
- Lead on system improvement projects for all P2P activities
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be a part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) Accountant and be committed to further study
- Have a formal recognition of IT expertise e.g. an IT degree/ qualification
- Display a 'can do' attitude with drive and enthusiasm
- Be able to provide a great service whilst considering value for money
- Be comfortable with the technical aspects of financial software
- Have excellent communication skills
- Think creatively to solve business issues
Job Offer
