Talent Development Manager Salary from GBP48,813Up to 10% bonusOne permanent roleBased in either Leeds or Sunderland with hybrid working from office & from home

We have an exciting opportunity to come join us in a newly created role as a Talent Development Manager. The role will lead in identifying and providing a succession pipeline plan for the business as well as designing and developing programmes to support us in our future resourcing needs.

Working closely with the HR Director and other senior leaders you will lead in identifying and career mapping high performing colleagues already within the business, developing new graduate and year-in-industry placement programmes and supporting new talent into Northern Gas Networks replacing leavers and business churn.

This is a great opportunity for you to really influence the way we evolve talent across our business and create, develop and embed new ways of working.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities• Overseeing the identification and career mapping of high performers within NGN• Delivering and evaluating effective Talent Development solutions for NGN - ensuring that all material is up to date, fit for purpose and drives business performance• Building credible and collaborative relationships with line and department managers to identify training needs• Designing and evaluating management training programmes to support the development of established and new managers• Develop the capability of our colleagues, in order to enable them to contribute fully to improve business performance• Building relationships across the business to ensure learning has been embedded with support from line managers

What we are looking for• Experience as a Talent Development Manager or similar role with demonstrable record of training programme development and management• Relevant qualification in Learning and Development and/or membership of CIPD at Level 7• Exposure to developing / managing high performers into more senior positions• Project management qualification or demonstrable project management work experience• Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead and motivate across a wide range of teams• Good organisational skills able to plan and coordinate multiple work programmes simultaneously

We are Northern Gas Networks. We deliver gas to 2.7 million homes and businesses in the North East, Northern Cumbria and much of Yorkshire. That's around 6.7million individual customers. We don't generate or sell the gas, but we transport it to homes and businesses in our region through a vast network of underground pipes. In fact, we own and maintain more than 37,000km of gas pipes - enough to stretch from Leeds to Sydney and back again. We cover large cities like Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds, York, Hull, and Bradford, and our work extends to rural areas like North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
