Tax Advisory Manager

This accountancy practice on Milton Keynes had tripled its team since the pandemic and as part of a well documented growth strategy now needs a Tax Advisory Manager to take on a diverse portfolio of clients which will include high net worth individuals, family businesses, SMEs and large corporates, business owners, and managers and partners in professional services firms.

The Tax Advisory Manager deals with all in-bound tax cases, with no need to do any compliance or business development, as that is all taken care of by sales and customer care teams within the firm. And when we say Manager, we mean that in terms of hierarchy and not in responsibility, as there is no team to look after, this is simply a delivery role, ensuring that private client Tax Advisory work is delivered to client expectations.

You will develop trusted relationships with our clients, with a view to providing the best possible service supported by your high-level technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• To complete technical and complex private ckient work
• Tax advisory reports, covering a wide variety of tax specific topics
• IHT computations
• EIS/SEIS applications
• Share restructuring projects
• Share scheme implementations
• Client exit strategies
• Embedded Capital Allowance claims
• Land Remediation Relief claims
• Company reorganisation projects
• Personal tax reviews
• Identify tax planning opportunities within individual and corporate client portfolio.
• Communicating with clients on technical tax matters.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified ATT and/or CTA
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Hold a valid Driving Licence
